Hypnosis is a brain wave state your mind already does naturally.
This work helps you use this state on purpose to make rapid, lasting change.
It's a process where your unconscious mind becomes more receptive to positive change. You're not asleep or out of control.
During our sessions, we use this state to help your unconscious mind release old patterns and install new, empowering beliefs. This brain wave state helps you access helpful information that's deeper than your conscious awareness to make positive changes.
NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) is a set of powerful techniques that help you understand and change the patterns of thought, behavior, and emotion that have been running on autopilot. NLP works with how your mind codes experiences and helps you rewrite the programs that are no longer working for you.
Together, hypnosis and NLP allow us to work directly with your unconscious mind to update the systems controlling your experience of life.
The unconscious mind is the part of your mind that runs in the background. It stores your habits, beliefs, memories, and automatic responses. It's why you can drive a familiar route without thinking or feel anxious in situations that remind you of the past.
Unlike your conscious mind, which thinks and reasons, your subconscious simply acts on what it has learned over time.
Hypnosis works by communicating directly with this deeper part of your mind, helping to update old patterns and replace them with healthier, more helpful ones.
The conscious mind is the part of you that is actively thinking right now. It analyzes, judges, and makes decisions. It's the voice in your head that weighs options and reasons things through.
It also acts as a filter, often blocking new ideas that don't match your existing beliefs.
Your conscious mind is only about 5-10% of your mind's processing power, and it's much slower than the autopilot unconscious programs running on autopilot (90-95%).
This is why willpower or self-awareness doesn't usually work to make. It's like trying to overpower a much faster and more instinctual part of your mind.
During hypnosis, the conscious mind relaxes its grip. This creates a window of opportunity for positive suggestions to reach the subconscious. It's like updating the operating system instead of trying to click out of a popup.
This is one of the most common concerns. The truth is most people can experience the hypnotic state as long as they're willing and able to focus and follow instructions. It's really quite simple.
If you're able to close your eyes, think somewhat in mental pictures/imagery, and pay attention to feelings in your body, you can do this.
Hypnosis is a natural state, not something that's "done to" you, and it has nothing to do with a lack of intelligence or being weak-willed. You will remember everything we do as much as you would from a regular conversation, and you'll feel in control the whole time.
If you've ever been absorbed in a movie, lost track of time while driving, or daydreamed, you've been in a hypnotic trance. That's all we're working with.
Some people go deeper into trance than others, but you don't need to be in a deep trance for this work to be effective. Even a lightly relaxed state is enough to create powerful change.
This work is for you if:
This work is not recommended if:
*(Because my work relies heavily on visualization, mental imagery, and accessing memories through your mind's eye, it may not be as effective if you cannot create pictures or sensations in your mind. I have successfully worked with people who have aphantasia; it just requires a slightly different approach.)
It's different for everyone, and there's not one particular feeling associated with this work. You may feel deeply relaxed, light and floaty, or just like you have your eyes closed and are following along.
Most people are pleasantly surprised by how easy it is and how much lighter they feel. There's no dramatic shift or strange sensation; you simply feel comfortably focused, and time can pass more quickly than expected.
Some people feel so alert they wonder if anything is happening at all. Others drift into a dreamy, peaceful state. Both experiences are completely normal.
The most common thing people say afterward: "I feel so much lighter!"
No. This is one of the most common concerns people have, and it's completely understandable given how hypnosis is portrayed in movies and stage shows.
The truth is actually the opposite. Hypnosis actually requires your cooperation and consent. You cannot be made to do anything that goes against your values or wishes, and you will not share anything inappropriate. If a suggestion doesn't feel right, your mind will simply reject it without it being a big deal.
You remain aware throughout the entire session. You can speak, move around, and come out of hypnosis whenever you choose.
You're always in control throughout the process. I act more as a guide or facilitator.
Typically, when clients come to me, their mind is very ready, and they feel I'm the right fit for them. When both of those things are true, it's very likely to work. It's actually rare for my clients to not feel they got the results they were after.
There are a few reasons why hypnosis may not have worked for someone.
Sometimes it's the format. A single session or a generic recording is not the same as working with someone trained to identify and address the specific root cause of what someone is dealing with. When I work with clients, I aim to get you the perfect amount of support to resolve your issues.
Sometimes it's the expectation. People assume hypnosis should feel a certain way and when it feels like relaxed conversation or they just feel they have their eyes closed, they assume they weren't hypnotized.
Some people are resistant to the process because of preconceived misconceptions about what hypnosis is. Willingness to participate fully is important.
And sometimes the person wasn't ready to change, which no method can work around.
The right approach with the right practitioner and someone who genuinely wants to shift is often the winning combo.
Every session is tailored to your specific needs, but here's a general idea:
1. We talk. I'll ask you about what you want to work on and what's been getting in the way.
2. We identify the problem. Using specific questions and techniques, we'll uncover what the mind is ready to process.
3. We do the work. When you are ready, you will be guided into a relaxed and focused state. From there, we'll use selected processes to help shift old patterns and support the changes you want to make. This might involve guided visualization, timeline work, parts work, releasing negative emotions, updating beliefs, or other NLP and hypnosis techniques.
4. We integrate. We'll make sure the change sticks and that you feel aligned with the new version of yourself.
You'll be awake, aware, and in control the entire time. Most people describe the experience as deeply relaxing and insightful. It is common to have insights, feel lighter, and to feel like you let something go during a session.
In between sessions, your job is to look for wins, notice what shifts, and notice what is coming up for resolution next.
During our consultation, I'll learn more about your needs and goals, and I'll invite you into the program that I think is the best fit or you.
For some issues, I recommend starting with a 4-session 1:1 program called Reclaim Your Power.
Other goals, like completely transforming your self-concept or healing from complex trauma, may be best suited for an immersive program like The Process (my signature 8-week 1:1 program), which has helped clients 2-8x their quality of life in areas like self-esteem, emotional wellness, fulfillment, and relationships within those 8 weeks.
I have deep-dive intensives and year-long bi-weekly support for clients who want to continue in a long-term container after an initial program is completely. I specialize in fast transformations, and continued support is always available to you. I also have self-led offerings.
My highest intention to help you feel like you got the result you came for.
Although most clients report noticeable results after the first session, this work is part of a process, and each session will be a part of that process, and it requires commitment.
Therefore, I do not offer single sessions (with the exception of phobia removal).
Most of the people who choose to work with me are committed to change and intuitively feel that this is the right fit.
Once your unconscious mind knows what we’re doing, it will start presenting things for resolution (which is really cool!), and I want to make sure you have the right amount of support to facilitate your transformation.
